Jeremiah 49 - Elam and Iran - Prophecy and Current Events

Just so you know, we are not going to stop doing our Red-Letter Journey. However, we are adding a 2nd series today comparing current world events with biblical prophecy. What will become extremely useful in this endeavor is applying our Berean Filter application to current events and how they can be interpreted with respect to Biblical prophecy.

We are completely open to suggestions regarding who you think provides good, sound biblical interpretation. Today, we focus on Jack Hibbs' recent discussions with his church, the MonkeyWerx US YouTube channel (this guy is a former DoD Contractor for the US Army, and he understands scripture - making him an interesting bridge to both. We may also lean on John Barnett from time to time, and we are certainly willing to consider other suggestions.

As you know, Iran is under major assault. So the focus of today's podcast is Iran (both ancient and modern). We started simply by opening Jeremiah 49:34-39 and asking what it means. Then we injected the transcripts of two very credible sources discussing how the current events map onto biblical prophecy. Finally, we referred our Berean Filter application to those same transcripts and asked it to pull in the reins a little and make sense of it all. The attempt is to put up some guardrails and tell us what the most plausible takeaway is.
